Cell Size Analysis option (CSA)
Size of foam cells is important for many products where appearance of the foam is important to the end user. Examples would be foam in beer, coffee, and dishwashing solutions. The CSA option, as its name suggests, is used to analyze foam cell size that. It adapts to the Foamscan (gas injection method)or Foamspin (stirring method).

Principle
The CSA option includes a second camera (to focus on a square cell fitted with four prisms), a separate light source, and a calibration sphere.
The camera is positioned next to the glass tube and can be moved up or down manually to four different positions, corresponding to location of one of the prisms.
Software identifies the distribution of cell sizes for foam that spreads on one of the prisms during foam formation. An area of about 1 cm² is measured.
Software CSA is used to process pictures acquired and stored by the Foamspin or Foamscan software. It identifies the distribution of image sizes Results are presented in a variety of statistical formats. |

CSA software detects the bubbles automatically, calculates all the selected parameters and writes it in a grid.

Frequency histogram of the radius of the bubbles
Presentation of the radius of the bubbles in ascending order
Deciles histogram of the radius of bubbles
